Publication Fees
Publication Fees
Reog: Journal of Ecoethnoscience Education is an open-access journal. Regular manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, and article publication are provided free of charge.
Publication fees, optional service charges, administrative charges, and other financial matters are completely independent of editorial decisions. Payment does not guarantee acceptance, publication, a Letter of Acceptance (LoA), accelerated editorial decisions, or any particular editorial outcome.
Submission Fee
Free of charge.
Reog does not charge Authors a fee for regular manuscript submission, initial editorial screening, or standard peer-review processing.
Article Publication Fee
Free of charge.
Reog does not charge an Article Publication Fee (APC) for manuscripts accepted for publication.
The absence of an Article Publication Fee does not affect the journal's peer-review standards, editorial assessment, publication ethics requirements, or editorial independence.
Proofreading Service
Reog may provide or arrange an optional proofreading service where required. The applicable fee ranges from IDR 0 to IDR 300,000, depending on language complexity and manuscript length.
Proofreading is an editorial or language-support service and does not influence the scholarly assessment or acceptance of a manuscript.
Fast-Track Review
Reog offers a Fast-Track Review service for Authors who require an expedited editorial and peer-review process due to specific academic or institutional needs.
Participation in the Fast-Track Review process does not influence the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript. Every manuscript remains subject to academic evaluation, peer review, editorial assessment, similarity and ethical screening, revision requirements, and the journal's publication ethics standards.
Fast-Track Review does not reduce, bypass, or modify the journal's standard editorial and peer-review requirements. Manuscripts remain subject to the same Reviewer eligibility, independence requirements, review criteria, and final editorial decision as manuscripts processed through the regular route.
The service provides priority administrative handling and expedited processing only. It does not guarantee acceptance, issuance of a Letter of Acceptance (LoA), a specific review completion date, a specific publication date, or any particular editorial outcome.
The Fast-Track Review fee is IDR 300,000. Because regular article publication in Reog is free of charge, this fee is solely associated with the optional Fast-Track Review service.
The Fast-Track Review fee may be billed in advance after the manuscript has been confirmed as eligible for Fast-Track Review and before the peer-review process begins. The fee is non-refundable once the Fast-Track process has begun, including where the manuscript is subsequently rejected.
Waiver Policy
Because Reog does not charge Authors for regular manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, or article publication, a fee waiver for these regular publication processes is not required.
Optional services, including Fast-Track Review and proofreading where applicable, are separate from the regular publication process and do not affect editorial evaluation, Reviewer selection, peer-review outcomes, or the final editorial decision.
Manuscript Withdrawal and Post-Publication Administrative Fees
Administrative or production charges may apply to certain Author-initiated Manuscript Withdrawal requests or post-publication changes that require additional editorial, administrative, review-related, technical, metadata, or production work.
Manuscript Withdrawal
Withdrawal applies primarily to manuscripts that have not yet been publicly published by Reog.
A Withdrawal request may be submitted in writing by any Author and must include a clear reason for the request.
Before processing the request, Reog may seek clarification, confirmation, or approval from all Authors where appropriate, particularly when the manuscript has entered peer review, revision, acceptance, copyediting, layout, proofreading, or production, or where the Withdrawal may affect the rights or responsibilities of other Authors.
Submission of a Withdrawal request does not automatically result in Withdrawal. The request remains subject to editorial assessment and applicable publication ethics requirements.
An administrative processing charge may apply to an Author-initiated Withdrawal request after substantial editorial, peer-review, administrative, technical, or production work has been performed. The applicable charge may be up to a maximum of IDR 100,000 per request.
The charge is intended to cover part of the administrative, editorial, peer-review, technical, or production resources already expended by the journal and does not constitute payment for approval of the Withdrawal.
Withdrawal required because of verified scientific, ethical, legal, authorship, research-integrity, or other scholarly-integrity concerns may be processed without charge following editorial assessment.
Withdrawal because the same manuscript has been submitted to or accepted by another journal may constitute a breach of publication ethics and will be handled in accordance with the Research Misconduct and Post-Publication Policy. Any applicable administrative charge relates to work already performed by the journal and does not replace any editorial or ethical action that may be required.
Post-Publication Administrative Changes
Once an article has been publicly published as an Article in Press, Online First, Ahead of Print, or the Version of Record, it is no longer normally handled through Manuscript Withdrawal.
Significant issues identified after publication are handled through the appropriate post-publication mechanism, which may include Correction, Erratum, Corrigendum, Expression of Concern, Retraction, Article Removal, or Article Replacement, according to the Research Misconduct and Post-Publication Policy.
An administrative processing charge of up to IDR 100,000 per request may apply to Author-requested post-publication changes that require substantial administrative, editorial, technical, metadata, or production work and are not required because of an error by the journal or Publisher or because of an ethical, legal, scientific, authorship, research-integrity, or scholarly-record concern.
Such requests may include, where approved by the Editor, an Author-requested Correction or Corrigendum, significant metadata changes, file-related changes, authorship-related administrative changes, or Article Replacement.
The administrative processing charge is intended to cover part of the additional editorial, administrative, technical, metadata, or production work required to assess, document, process, and implement the requested change. Payment of the charge does not create an entitlement to the requested change.
All post-publication requests remain subject to editorial assessment, publication ethics, applicable journal policies, and protection of the scholarly record.
Integrity-Related Post-Publication Actions
Fees or payment status must never determine whether an Expression of Concern, Retraction, Article Removal, Article Replacement, Correction, or other action necessary to protect the scholarly record is issued or implemented.
Where a Retraction or other post-publication action is required because of verified research or publication misconduct, ethical concerns, legal concerns, unreliable findings, serious scientific errors, authorship misconduct, or other research-integrity concerns, Reog may take the appropriate editorial action regardless of whether an Author agrees to or pays any administrative charge.
Corrections or other actions required because of errors made by the journal or Publisher, or because of ethical, legal, scientific, authorship, research-integrity, or scholarly-record concerns, may be processed without charge following editorial assessment.
Where misconduct or another breach of publication ethics has occurred, any applicable administrative charge is separate from and does not replace the editorial or ethical consequences of that breach. Appropriate action may be taken in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement and Research Misconduct and Post-Publication Policy.
Payment status must never prevent Reog from taking an action necessary to maintain the accuracy, reliability, transparency, or integrity of the scholarly record.
Subscription Fee
Reog is a fully open-access journal that provides immediate and unrestricted access to its published content in accordance with the applicable journal license and policies.
Reog does not charge subscription fees to readers.
Journal Funding and Other Revenue
Reog is managed and published by PT Mitra Edukasi dan Publikasi.
The journal does not charge Authors for regular manuscript submission, editorial processing, peer review, or article publication. Revenue associated with optional Fast-Track Review, proofreading services, and applicable administrative or production charges may contribute to the journal's operational activities.
Authors, funders, sponsors, service users, the Publisher, and other financial contributors do not have influence over individual editorial decisions. Publication decisions are made independently by the Editorial Team based on scholarly quality, peer-review results, editorial assessment, publication ethics, and applicable journal policies.
Financial arrangements, revenue sources, commercial considerations, sponsorship, or payment status must remain separate from editorial decision-making.
Journal Advertising
Reog does not accept commercial advertising in any form.
Advertising or commercial interests must not influence editorial policies, Reviewer selection, editorial decisions, published content, or the presentation of scholarly material.
Direct Marketing and Manuscript Solicitation
Reog may conduct responsible direct marketing activities, including Calls for Papers, journal announcements, and manuscript invitations, to communicate with researchers whose scholarly interests may be relevant to the journal's Focus and Scope.
Direct marketing and manuscript solicitation must be appropriate, targeted, professional, and based on accurate information about the journal, its Publisher, scope, indexing or accreditation status, publication fees, peer-review process, services, and publication practices.
Marketing communications must not contain misleading claims, guarantee manuscript acceptance, guarantee publication, guarantee issuance of a Letter of Acceptance (LoA), misrepresent the journal's indexing or accreditation status, or otherwise imply that payment or solicitation provides preferential editorial treatment.
Recipients should be provided with a reasonable means to decline or unsubscribe from future promotional communications where applicable.
Editorial Independence from Financial and Commercial Matters
All financial and commercial activities described in this policy are separate from the journal's editorial decision-making.
Payment, non-payment, Fast-Track participation, proofreading service, Withdrawal charge, post-publication administrative charge, marketing activity, or any other financial matter must not determine Reviewer recommendations, acceptance, rejection, Correction, Retraction, or any other editorial or publication-ethics decision.
Further information concerning editorial independence is provided in the Editorial Independence Statement.

The applicable fee is determined according to the policy in effect at the relevant stage of manuscript processing, unless otherwise determined by the journal.
