Archiving and Repository Policy

The International Journal of Research and Community Empowerment (IJoRCE) is committed to ensuring the continued accessibility, integrity, preservation, and dissemination of its published scholarly content.

Electronic Backup

The official Version of Record (VoR) of all published articles is maintained on the IJoRCE journal website. Published articles and essential journal files are also periodically backed up and securely stored in the publisher-managed Google Drive of PT Mitra Edukasi dan Publikasi.

These backup copies are maintained separately from the primary journal server and may be used for restoration in the event of data loss, server failure, or other technical disruption.

Digital Preservation Strategy

IJoRCE maintains redundant copies of published articles and essential publication data as part of its digital preservation strategy. Preserved files may be restored or migrated when necessary to maintain continued accessibility following technical failures or changes in publishing infrastructure.

Published journal content may also be deposited with the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia) and/or other relevant national preservation services as part of applicable legal-deposit, archiving, and preservation arrangements.

IJoRCE has also enabled the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) archiving functions available through its OJS platform. These functions provide technical permissions and publisher manifests intended to facilitate preservation through LOCKSS- and CLOCKSS-based systems where applicable.

The activation of these technical functions does not, by itself, constitute confirmation that IJoRCE content is currently preserved by a participating long-term preservation service.

Self-Archiving and Repository Policy

IJoRCE permits Authors to self-archive the Submitted Version (Preprint), Accepted Manuscript, and published Version of Record (VoR) in institutional, disciplinary, funder-designated, or other appropriate non-commercial repositories and academic platforms.

All permitted versions may be deposited without an embargo period. For published articles, Authors should provide appropriate citation and a link to the official IJoRCE article or DOI, where available. Self-archiving must comply with the journal’s applicable copyright and licensing terms.

Authors should be aware that publicly archived versions, particularly Preprints or Accepted Manuscripts, may result in a high similarity score during subsequent similarity checking. Legitimate overlap with an authorized self-archived version should not automatically be considered plagiarism. Authors are therefore encouraged to inform the Editorial Team of any previously archived version, and similarity reports will be evaluated in the appropriate publication context.
